Golfer Info

Date: Saturday, September 13

Location: Collicutt Siding Golf Club (1025 Western Drive, Crossfield, Alberta)

Registration Time: 12:30 PM

Shotgun Start: 1:30 PM SHARP (please be in your carts at 1:20 PM)

Registration

$135 per golfer

(includes round of golf, power cart, access to practice facilities, grab bag, steak dinner, and a chance to win some amazing prizes!)

Golfers sign up in teams of four, and your score is registered as a team. If you do not have a complete foursome, that’s ok! If you sign up as a pair (two golfers), you will be matched up with another pair. Teams of three are not recommended as you will be at a disadvantage with fewer members of your team, and it is difficult to find “singles” to be placed on the team with you.

Your dance parent contact at SBDC will register you and submit your payment. Golfer spots in the tournament are not confirmed until payment is received. In the past two years, registration has filled up fast so don’t wait to confirm your spot!
When you arrive on the day of the tournament, you will check in at the dining tent next to the driving range. There, you will receive your cart number and have an opportunity to buy in for some fun contests, as well as mulligans to use during your round.

Format:
Texas Scramble

  • Men will play from the Blue Tees, ladies from the Red Tees.

  • All Players hit a tee shot. The best tee shot is selected and all players make a second shot from there (within one club length of the same spot). The best second shot is then selected and the procedure continues until one member of the group holes a putt. All putts must be completed. Please play ready golf. It is imperative to keep up with the group ahead of you.

  • The team must use each player’s tee shot at least 3 times.

  • One team score is recorded for each hole.

  • Prize holes:

    • Ladies & Men’s long drive

    • Ladies & Men’s closest to pin

    • Ladies & Men’s longest putt

    • Many more activity holes to keep things fun!

Team Costume Contest

The most creative and entertaining team costumes are recognized with great prizes! Our studio director and teachers will be at the tournament to hand out some treats and judge the team costumes. They always have highly coveted prizes for the winners, so consider putting a creative spin on your team attire!

Golf Course Rules

  • ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL. It is illegal to bring outside alcohol onto the golf course property.

  • You must keep up to the group in front of you. This tournament is usually sold out, which means we need to keep things moving to finish the round in time.

  • Carts must stay at least 30 paces from the greens. Park on the cart paths near the tee boxes.

  • Repair all ball marks and fill divots. If you see other unfixed ball marks on the greens, please take a moment to repair those too.

Helpful Hints

  • Please arrive early, not on time. Registration takes some time, so allow extra time to sign in, purchase mulligans and other extras, grab a snack or drink to go, and get your gear set up on the cart.

  • Driving range and practice green are included in your fee, so if you would like to warm up, please do so (but make sure to allow even more time to do this!).

  • Dress in layers and bring a jacket. The event proceeds rain or shine, so please make sure you’re prepared for anything!

  • Cash is king! There will be lots of extras and fun activities to buy into, so be sure to bring some extra cash, as that is the only form of payment we can accept outside of the clubhouse. There is an ATM in the clubhouse, but you’re better off bringing the cash with you in case there’s a lineup for it.
